The Excellence in Writing Competition is Judson College’s annual research writing contest. College students are invited to enter one 8–10 page research essay that argues a thesis, shows academic research, and is written for a class in Judson College anytime during the 2024 academic year to win a monetary prize and win competition points in the House System for students residing on campus. First place prize is $500, second place $250, and third place $150. Please upload your essay document to this in-box. The submission deadline is March 7, 2025. The presentation and award event recognizing the top three research essays is May 2, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the college chapel. Family and friends are encouraged to attend the award ceremony when the award-winning papers will be recognized and presented. Entrants must be enrolled in Judson College and in good academic standing when the paper was written.
